We celebrate LifeSong's anniversary each year by serving people in our community, hence Community Day.
Community Day is an annual event held on the second Saturday in January to celebrate our beginning. It is an outpouring of LOVE from LifeSong to bless our neighbors as we have been blessed. Everything is FREE and we prepare to serve 150-200 people at the event. Nearly all LifeSong members participate in some way before or during the event. ALL are welcome! Our guests register when they come in and then are able to partake of all that has been gathered and is offered at the event. We have groceries, hygiene and laundry products, diapers/wipes, new and gently used and cleaned (by Clean Jeans) coats, shoes, firewood and a delicious hot lunch. When our guests leave, we want them to have full sacks of groceries, full tummies and BIG smiles on their faces and the volunteers faces- it is a humbling experience to be the hands and feet of Jesus. On this day we share Jesus’ love by our words and actions, offering hope, encouragement and help. We extend invitations to join us in the many ministries at LifeSong. Happy guests, happy volunteers AND God gets all the honor and glory and praise!!
Last year, we served more than 100 individuals and families with our drive-thru giveaway. The pictures seen below are from Community Day 2023! This year, we are happy to announce that we will be meeting people and helping them pickup goods inside the church building.
